Michelle urges regular massage therapy. Her records supports the belief that clients who followed this advice over the years, spent less time and money on physical, emotional and mental problems. “It was the clients who came in irregularly or every few months that needed the most care in comparison to their counterpart” Says Michelle.

Furthermore, research has shown a correlation between emotional/physical well-being and overall good health. “Depression, anxiety, and high blood pressure are not readily apparent, but could be developing behind the scenes” she says. “We are also very vigilant in screening for regressive conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis and misalignment of tendons, joints and ligaments. You have very little to lose and everything to gain by just coming in for an exam.”

There is no question that nearly everyone can benefit from massage therapy, but there is some confusion about how often one should seek treatment. Michelle’s bottom-line answer to this question is “once a month as a minimum for people under light to moderate stress. This would also include people who are sedentary or who exercise only occasionally.”
